4505 Burgers & BBQ is seeking applications for Line Cook and Lead Line positions. We’re looking for hard working individuals with high-volume restaurant experience and excellent communication skills. These are fast-paced and intense positions that will require you to work long hours and offer you the potential to grow with our company. Line Cook Position Description:
Responsible for all station mise-en-place and set up, as well as high volume, to order cooking.
Lead Line Position Description:
Able to set up and work all stations as well as expedite.
Qualifications: • Hard-working and self-motivated; comfortable juggling multiple priorities simultaneously • 2 years experience in a professional kitchen, on hot line, cold line, fryers, and expediting busy lunch and dinner services • Interested in being a part of a tight knit team, able to step up and work outside of your comfort zone on a regular basis • Knife skills • A demonstrated ability to follow recipes and instruction • Knowledgeable about and follows food-service safety and sanitation best practices • Excellent organization skills and verbal and written English skills • General knowledge of meat and BBQ, or a willingness to learn • Weekend availability, willingness to work a flexible schedule • Must be able to safely lift 50+ pounds and stand for more than 4 or more hours at a time • Passion for and ability to uphold the mission of 4505 Meats Wage & Benefits • Lead Line position is salaried, dependent on experience. Line cook position is a competitive hourly wage plus tip share. • Health insurance benefits after 60 days of employment • Paid Time Off begins accruing after 90 days of employment • Employee discount at Butcher Shop and Restaurant • Paid Holidays • Employee Referral bonus More about 4505 Meats 4505 Meats is a family owned company based in San Francisco, founded by chef Ryan Farr in January 2009. 4505's legacy lies in whole animal utilization by way of butchery and sausage making. 4505 began in Farr's SF apartment with one product, the lighter-than-air Original Style Chicharrones, or “crispity clouds of porkaliciousness.” The launch of the 4505 Chicharron was then followed by the 4505 Bacon-Studded Hot Dog, and a full line of house made sausages. The business has only grown from there. 4505 has operated stands at Farmers’ Markets all over San Francisco, and remains a vendor at the Saturday Ferry Plaza Market. From 2012- 2015 they ran a full-service whole animal butcher shop in the Mission District, where they sold responsibly and sustainably raised meat sourced from farms in Northern California.
