Katie Mayfield- COO
Katie brings a wide variety of experience to Team 4505.Prior to joining 4505, she spent time as a Congressional Staffer, Organic Farm Lady, and Manager at Bi-Rite Market. She currently holds court as COO at 4505 and a Restaurant Owner-Wife (seeThe Half Orange , Oakland). She originally hails from East Tennessee and holds a degree in Foreign language & International Economics from the University of Kentucky. When she’s not working she can likely be found spending time with her dog Trudie (short for Strudel, short for Street Doodle) ,attending drummer hot yoga, cycling in the East Bay, or posting up in Oakland Natural Wine Bars.
1) What is one of your earliest food memories?
Playing restaurant with my cousins in my grandma’s pantry and serving all of our customers plates full of dried spaghetti.
2) What is your favorite thing to eat at 4505 Meats?
Pulled chicken sando! Our pulled smoked chicken is a real silent star of our BBQ menu. And our house white BBQ sauce that comes on it has a wonderful story.
